Catherine Tate
Catherine Jane Ford was born on 5 December 1969. She is an English comedian, actress, and writer. Her work on The Catherine Tate Show, a BBC sketch comedy series, has earned her numerous awards. She was also nominated for seven BAFTAs and an International Emmy Award. Tate was Donna Noble’s character in Doctor Who’s 2006 Christmas special. She later reprised the role as the Tenth Doctor’s companion in series four in 2008. Tate attended Notre Dame High School and St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be an actor. At 16, she was sent to Salesian College in Battersea, a boys’ Roman Catholic school. It had all the necessary facilities for drama. After trying for four years, she was finally accepted into the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Catherine Ford was born Catherine Ford. She changed her name after she received her Equity card as an actor. She chose her new surname after Jessica Tate (played by Katherine Helmond in the American sitcom TV series).
Personal Life
Tate’s ex-boyfriend is Twig Clark, a stage manager. They have a daughter, Erin. Erin was born in London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals in January 2003 and was delivered after an emergency procedure.
