Alex Meneses
Alexandra Estella Meneses, born February 12, 1965, is an American actress/model.
Early life
Meneses was born Chicago, Illinois. Her father is Mexican and her mother is Ukrainian. Meneses was a summer student at Chicago’s The Second City Improvisational Theater. After graduating from high school, Meneses was offered a modeling job in Milan, Italy. Although her initial stay in Italy was for three months, she fell in love and returned to the United States. She stayed in Italy for two years and became a successful model. Meneses moved to Los Angeles after she returned to the United States to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute.
Career
Meneses was a regular actor in Showtime’s comedy series Sherman Oaks, which aired in 1995. Later, she was cast as Teresa Morales, the role that replaced Michelle Bonilla in the last season of CBS’ western drama series Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Selena was also a supporting role in a variety of films, such as Auto Focus, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, and Selena.
Other roles she played on TV included Cookie, Joey Tribbiani’s sister, in Friends’ episode. She also appeared on episodes of Suddenly Susan and Any Day Now. Meneses also has appeared in many Los Angeles stage productions. As Robert Barone’s Italian girlfriend Stefania, she was a regular role on the CBS comedy series Everybody Loves Raymond. Meneses was cast in 2015 as Isabela Santamaria, an aging telenovela star, in Telenovela, an NBC comedy series. Meneses was cast as a recurring character in The CW’s series Walker on February 19, 2021.
